Brianna

brianna photo Hi, my name is Brianna. I am 18 and a senior in high school. I found out about Women of Nasa through my internship at Autodesk. I am the head graphic designer for Design Your Future, a program modeled after this Women of Nasa group. I love my job because I get to experience a little bit of everything, not just design. I have had many great opportunities to work on my HTML skills and I am hoping to learn Java Script soon. I also work in Flash, Photoshop, and more. Aside from the computer skills, there are many other aspects of the work place that I get practice in. I have gone out and conducted interviews with many succesful women in and out of Autodesk. We have opportunities to do public speaking and everyday I get the experience of working in a group. When I first came in I really only enjoyed working on projects on my own, but now I see that it really helps to have the many different views, opinions, and ideas that you can only get when working together.

Aside from work and school, I enjoy spending my time on 3D Studio Max (a fun and very cool animation program made by Autodesk) doing 3D animation. I won a couple of awards for a short story movie that I created with this program and recieved it for free as one of my prizes (so now I have can work on it whenever I want to!!). I also love to draw, paint, woodburn- pretty much anything that uses creativity. I love the outdoors and take every opportunity I can to go out and enjoy it whether it be in the sun, snow, mountains, at a lake, or at the beach. I like listening to music (everything from country to rock), watching movies, and spending time with friends.

As for the future? I have always wanted to do 3D animation in games or movies and I still plan on pursuing that dream. But now I have expanded that and I want to learn more about programming and coding for a more well rounded education. Then I hope one day to start my own company or business. But first things first, and now I am looking into scholorships for college. I would like to get a degree in Animation and take classes in computer science as well. There is so much to learn out there and I want to take advantage of every opportunity I can, but still enjoy life and take out time to have fun.

I think my biggest goal right now is to overcome the idea of a limit on what is possible. I have so many dreams and things that I want to accomplish, it is hard not to be overwhelmed sometimes and think it not possible. But I believe it is important that everyone remembers the only limit that exists is the one that you create.
