Doug Peterson oversees a very full day of an astronaut's appearances.

Answer any or all of the three questions. Each correct answer will be collected for the drawing. Entries should be submitted via email to: nasaquest_quiz@hotmail.com You must include your name, age and reply email address. One name will be drawn from the list of correct responses. If your name is selected you will then be asked to provide complete contact information so we can mail you your prizes. If you choose, you can send us your picture and a brief paragraph of why you are interested in a NASA career. Your cameo will be added to our NASA site.

(The three questions below are based on hypothetical situations. The numbers used are based on approximate figures for the purpose of the contest)

1. There are 140 US astronauts, and 25 foreign astronauts. 40 astronauts are currently assigned to missions. How many astronauts are not currently assigned?

2. If the astronauts candidate office receives 750 applications per year, and they select 25 candidates every two years, what percentage of applicants are selected as candidates every two years?

3. The Pubic Affairs office receives 250 requests for astronaut appearances per month, and each request take 22 minutes to review and respond to. There are two people who work on reviewing the requests and they work 20 days per month. How much time is spent by each of them per day on requests?
