JUDY WOODRUFF

judy woodruff photo I am sorry I cannot be with all of you today. I was looking forward to participating in the "Virtual Take Our Daughters to Work Day" chat to discuss my role as a journalist and to answer your questions. However, in the business of live news coverage, events beyond one's control can cause the best laid plans to go awry. Journalists usually accept engagements with a disclaimer for breaking news or a developing story. So instead of discussing my job today, I will be doing it! - anchoring the coverage of the Oklahoma Bombing trial in Denver.

Fortunately Sonia Ruseler, our CNN Newsday anchor could step in as my replacement. Enjoy your chat with her.
