4-G F-16 Centripetal Force Simulator

Four-Gs and I Feel Fine
By Danny

Today during my visit to space camp I got a chance to try out the Four-G simulator. This simulator was really fun. It is amazing how science and centripetal force can simulate different experiences so realistically like g-forces or motion sickness. Actually on this simulator the g-forces and motion sickness are both real! The 4-G simulator spun you in a 360-degree circle like a CD spinning in a CD player. When you spun like that the centripetal force pushed you back to the wall of the simulator. This felling of force created the feeling that you were either flying a fast jet or the shuttle. Right when you hit 4-Gs your body feels like it is being poked with needles all over. After I was done going on this simulator, I could hardly walk straight. I felt like a drunken guy at a carnival. While I was still feel pretty sick I went on the Mars Landing Simulator. After being bumped around on the Mars Landing Simulator, I really felt like hurling. So, I just sat down for a while until I could compose myself. In the end including the motion sickness my experiences at space camp were very fun.
