1/6th Gravity Moon Walker Simulator

Experiencing Weightlessness
By Crosby

Today, May 22, 2001 I had the joy of experiencing weightlessness. I had this opportunity by visiting U.S. Space Camp in Orlando, Florida. At space camp I got to go on the 1/6th Gravity chair. It was a weird way to experience weightlessness. They weigh you set the simulator for your weight. Then they put you in a harness. It was pretty fun. I did three different kinds of walks on this simulator. I did the hop, the side step walk, and the moonwalk. When I did the moon walk the chair and harness gave me a wedgie. I really enjoyed hopping around in non-gravity. Things that I will always remember from this experience include, getting such a wedgie, the feeling of being in space and seeing so much stuff about space travel. Really liked this experience and I wish we could have stayed and stayed.
