Ana P
My Kennedy Experience

I liked seeing the outside surface of Friendship 7. When capsules come back from space the are all black from being burned while entering the EarthÕs atmosphere. I liked the rest of the museum. I learned all about our early space programs. They started by sending one man to space (Mercury), then two men (Gemini) and finally, they sent three men to the moon (Apollo). I was really surprised at how much information there was for me to learn.

rocket enginesWe saw an Imax movie with pictures taken from the Space Shuttle. The pictures of earth were great. I almost cried when I first saw the Saturn V Rocket. It is so huge! I tried to take a picture, but it was so big it wouldnÕt fit in my cameraÕs viewfinder. This rocket is the largest and most complicated rocket ever built. It has taken people further into space than any other rocket. This rocket actually took people to the surface of the moon! While I was at the museum, I was wondering how to get oxygen to the moon. I wondered how you could stay on the moon for days. I found out that 40% of the moonÕs surface is made up of oxygen. That would make it possible to stay there.
