Marissa Muller, Student Ambassador
As of June 10th, 1999 I completed my high school career at Sacred Heart
Prep. I graduated with an honor cord from the National Honors Society and
earned the Heart of Sacred Heart award. Graduating from high school gave
me a wonderful sense of completion and a desire to further on my education.
Next year I will be attending the University of California at Berkeley,
and I anticipate an experience of a life time.
During my four years at Sacred Heart, I dabbled in many different activities.
My sophomore year, I began playing water polo and I have not stopped playing
since. During the fall, I played with Sacred Heart, winter with Peninsula
United, and summer with Stanford's club team. Water polo allows me to
bond with six other girls while working towards the common goal of victory.
I hope to continue playing water polo at Berkeley.
During my junior and senior year, I was editor of the Sacred Heart yearbook.
I enjoy designing pages and holding a leadership role. In the past four
years I have also been a member of the National Charity League. I would
annually work and give my service to one specific organization.(Habitat
for Humanity, Soup Kitchen, Hidden Villa etc.) Through school, I have
gone on two different immersion projects, one to Tijuana and the other
to Costa Rica. On these trips, with a little extra work, some smiles,
and simply chatting with others, we were able to help out the community.
I enjoy helping others.
The continual love from my family has influenced my life. I have my
parents as my greatest supporters, and I have the mental and physical
strenth that two older brothers have instilled in me. Each individual
in my family has given me the motivation and drive to try anything. Therefore,
in being a Student Ambassador I can learn from the best and witness different
professions. I hope to share my knowledge that I will gain in Florida
with others. Only positives can come from this experience. I wildly anticipate
the launch.
