    Three types of workshop:

  • An Activity
  • A Project
  • An Inquiry

  • An Internet Workshop Project:

This type of Internet use brings the class together to conduct a project with Internet Workshop.

Step 1: Using the information in the Female Frontiers, Women of NASA and Space Team Online biographies and archived chats conduct the following project.

    • Assign students to work in groups to create their own chart of women and facts that they are interested in.

An example of the chart that they create might look like the following:

      Woman or Man

      PLACE OF BIRTH

      ETHNIC BACKGROUND

      DEGREES EARNED

      LIFETIME MILESTONES

      HOBBIES

      Woman #1 . . . . .
      Woman #2 . . . . .
      Woman #3 . . . . .
      Woman #4 . . . . .
      Woman #5 . . . . .

    • Read through Female Frontiers biographies and fill in your chart.
    • Read other Space Team Online and Women of NASA biographies and fill in the chart.
    • Think of other women (and men) that you admire and fill in the chart with their information.
Step 2: Use the Internet Workshop as a forum for working on the project and filling in the chart.
