Installing the ISDN jack
by Bill Strathearn
September 18, l998
I tried to put in a terminator on the end of our ISDN data line that
will be going to the station. It was not installed with one, but I thought
that I could figure out how to do it. I was not sure in exactly what order
the 8 wires were laid down in the jack, so I tried many different possible
configurations. After trying for hours with no success I called Bell South
to send out a representative and install the jack. As it turns out the
line was wired incorrectly at the wiring block, and no matter what I did
down in the station, I wouldn't have gotten it to work no matter what.
