Back on the job in Key Largo

Monday, September 28, 1998:
We started off the day bright and early with a morning staff meeting.
Rose was here and took command. Everyone was in a better mood and everyone
was back working like clockwork. We all had our respective task to do,
and we all independently did those as if there was no interruption. We
all worked together to unpack everything and get everything set up again.
Celeste and I did a food/water run. I filled up the water coolers as
soon as I got back. The morning sun was beating down on everything so
I made sure the folks had some cold water to keep them hydrated while
working. We had 9 crew participants today. Mr. Ball, Tom Leaird and Patsy
Donn went down to Jules Lodge. Rod Roddenberry, Sonia Renner, Mary K Raggio,
Alyssa Friedland, Rose Grymes, and Kim Campbell were all in the water
at some point during the day while Christopher Roosa was busy taking pictures
underwater and on the surface. I prepared outreach packages for the day's
participants.
In between doing what needed to be done I would sit in the office with
Linda watching her work and observing the webcasts and webchats. Linda
had the computer attached to her hip the whole time, or so it seems. The
only time she took a break from it was when we had to stop to eat. Thought
I was bad about working late but I think Linda takes the prize! While
we were in Kissimmee, she stayed up after I went to bed (it was already
early morning then) chatting on-line with Tom WhittakerÕs Dad in Australia!
