A day of rest and Bill's birthday
by Robin Folsom
September 20, l998
What a day! After Gail dove and I worked topside to get Krisstina and
Karen decompressed and out of the water, Dennis cut us loose for the day.
We took a drive south and ended up shopping on Islamorda and Marathon.
It was a well deserved day off. We did manage to catch the weather channel
once at around 1 PM. We are still in the possible projected path for the
storm, but I have faith.
We are all getting ready for dinner. It's Bill's 20th birthday, so we
are letting him pick the place. He leaves on Monday, and I don't think
he realizes how much he will be missed by everyone. What he did to get
our computers working was nothing short of a miracle.
Tomorrow, Mr. Roy Bridges, KSC center director, is going to be paying
us a visit. We are all very excited about his arrival. We have worked
very hard to make NASA proud.
