Settling into a routine

by Robin Folsom
September 19, l998

Does it get boring here! Once everyone is down in the Station for the day, I get put on surface watch. Basically that means I just listen to the radio in case they need anything down under.

We spent the morning getting Krisstina and Karen into the Station with Joe. They are going to do their Mission Commander training tonight. I am very excited for them both!

We seem to have settled into a routine with the daily chores now (laundry and such). I am hoping to get some time tomorrow to do some fishing in the area - one never would come to the Keys without one's fishing tackle. It would be a sin against the great god of fishing.

Update: Deciding we needed to relax, we found a place to play some pool down the street. Unfortunately they also had a TV which allowed Gail and me to see the weather forecast. Wouldn't you know it? We now have Hurricane Georges out there. Normally they will hit the Gulf Stream and head north before causing any problems - Keep your fingers crossed!
