QUESTION: Are there any plans to publish results from the Venus flyby on the website? However trivial they may be, it would be interesting to see the results, both from a scientific standpoint (i.e., was there anything out of the ordinary?), and from an engineering mission-confidence standpoint (i.e., instrument performance/calibration, downlink quality, etc.)? ANSWER from Steve Edberg on October 1, 1999: The individual science teams coordinate there data releases with the JPL Media Relations Office when they are ready to publish it. A look through weekly and quarterly status reports sometimes reveals engineering results from major mission events. The Cassini-Huygens Journal, available on the website at http://www.jpl.nasa.gov/cassini/MoreInfo/newslets/ will carry reports; the Journal discussing Venus2 and Earth results is still being compiled (there will be reports from some of the science teams).
