What will happen to the Huygens Probe if indeed the surface of Titan is some
kind of liquid?

ANSWER from FAQ on June 3, 1999:
The Probe would float for a while, but no one has estimated whether
long enough to keep sending data to the orbiter before it disappears
over the horizon 30 minutes after landing. Huygens designers also hope
the Probe can survive for a short time on the surface of Titan, but
surface survival is not a requirement.
