Submit Your Chat Questions Prior to a QuestChat
Although we prefer that you attend our live chats, you will have various
opportunities to submit your questions early if you are unable to attend
at the scheduled time. To do this, register for the chat you wish to submit
questions for. If the chat room is open before the chat begins, you may
enter the chat room, and submit your questions. The chat room will be in
"moderation" mode, so you will not see your questions posted. However, they
will remain in our chat queue, and may be posted during the chat. If the
chat room is not open and you have already registered, contact Oran Cox
(ocox@mail.arc.nasa.gov) or Sandy Dueck
(sandy@quest.arc.nasa.gov) to inform
him/her of your impending absence.
We will attempt to post as many of your questions as possible during
the chat. But be advised that priority will be given to participants online
for the live chat. You may read the archived chat in the chat archive, or as a link from an expert's profile,
within a day or two of the event.
Forums
Another alternative for those of you unable to attend live Questchats is
participation in our Forums. Our Forums give you a chance to interact with
NASA experts at flexible and convenient times. During the scheduled Forum,
you may submit questions to our featured expert(s) in the same manner as
you do with chats. As with many of our QuestChats, Forums are moderated
so your questions will be sent to our Forum queue and posted at various
times. The featured expert(s) will log on at various times for the duration
of the forum to answer questions posted. You may enter the Forum room anytime
throughout the scheduled Forum time to post questions and read answers.
Note: As with all Quest interactive events, prior research on
the featured expert(s) is pertinent to successful dialogue. Please read
expert profiles and any background information to prepare appropriate
questions. Only topic related, relevant questions will be considered for
submission to forum or chat rooms. Inappropriate questions or messages
will be removed from chat and forum rooms, and/or deleted from the queue.
Finally, be sure to visit our project homepages to learn
how you can receive answers to your questions through our e-mail Q & A
activity.
