Challenge: Design a Martian

Mrs. Murphy’s Class
Meredith & Emily

We have created a life form that is able to live on Mars. Her feet have trees on them surrounded by a layer of CO2 that the trees can use to breathe. The oxygen they breathe out will go up special tubes and into the creature’s mouth. She will breathe out the CO2 and it will go down the tubes to the trees. Since she has such a small stomach, the trees on her feet are apple trees, so she takes about three apples a day. Even a meal that small can fill her stomach for a whole day. She has a body temperature of 167 degrees Fahrenheit, so it steps on the ice at the polar ice caps where it lives, the ice will melt and her sponge-like feet will absorb the water and will be filtered up by her chest. She gives off waste by spitting out pellets, sort of life an owl.
