Webcast with Michael Anderson

by Lori Keith
March 15, 2000

Monday, March 13, we had our webcast with astronaut Michael Anderson. This webcast was sponsored by NASA Quest-Space Team Online, Classroom Connect and the Department of Housing and Urban Development, or what is known as HUD. I was invited to come and watch the webcast and take a few pictures to share with you all.

It was very exciting watching them get everything set up. Five students from the Houston area were invited to participate on-site. The NASA-Johnson Space Center people responsible for the webcast were also on hand -- Bob Fitzmaurice, the webcast host; Sarah Enticknap, Erika Guillory, Amy Higginbotham, and Tim Reynolds.

During the webcast, each of the students got to ask a few of their own questions. After the webcast, the kids were able to get Astronaut Anderson's autograph. They really enjoyed this. I hope you enjoyed the webcast from your computer as much as I did being there. :-)
