Who I am and What I do
Hi, my name is William Stinson. I am a Technical Integration Engineer for the International Space Station (ISS). I help direct key projects for the build out of the ISS. In the past I have worked as a management intern with the Center Director of Kennedy Space Center Roy Bridges. He is an astronaut from the early shuttle days who has logged 188 hours in space since 1981. With his assistance I have learned how the entire space center operates in order to test and launch components that would serve the ISS in various capacities.

How Did I Get Here
I graduated from Evans High School in Orlando in 1982, then soon after went on to college at the University of Florida in Gainesville, graduating in April of 1988 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Sciences and Aerospace Engineering. After graduating from the University of Florida, I started to work for NASA. While at NASA, they graciously sent me to the University of Central Florida where I earned my Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Then in June of 1993 I went on to The Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, where I received a second Masters degree in Engineering Management.

Personal Information
I was born in Miami in 1964 to William Sr. and Nyra. I enjoy fitness activities, biking, SCUBA diving, skiing, and travel.

Influences
The Space Program has been a big influence in my life. Working here has enabled me to work in an exciting industry, which has given me a career to be proud of. I've always pursued areas, which have captured my interest.

Goals and Future Plans
I love working here at Kennedy Space Center and plan on staying here for a long time to come. My main goal is to help KSC and the entire space industry excel into the future by working in key areas that will advance the space program.

Advice
My advice to students is to find a career that you love and have the most interest in. Above all stay focused on your goals and follow what is best for you, in the long run it will pay off!
