Charlotte Stevens' students working on various activities as they
study Mars
Students weigh a small plastic bead to determine the effect mass has
upon crater diameter.
Students work in pairs to measure the diameter of the impact crater
made by dropping a small bead into a tray of sand.
Pupils examine stereograms of craters on Mars and on the Earth's moon.
Teams of students worked together to determine the effect velocity
has on the size of an impact crater.
Groups enter their data on a chart.
Mrs. Stevens' eighth grade Earth Science class watches the live broadcast
of "Countdown." We were very excited when one of our questions was
answered on the program.
During the broadcast of "Countdown" students sent in questions to
be answered by NASA scientists.
Taylor Road Middle School students sent in questions before the live
broadcast to be answered on air.
