Clementine: The Clementine
spacecraft was the first mission to provide possible evidence of
water ice within some of the Moon's craters. |

Lunar Prospector:
In addition to mapping the Moon's surface composition, measuring
lunar gravity and magnetism, and studying outgassing events, this
tiny spacecraft provided the first direct evidence of water ice
at the Moon's poles. |
