Space Day 1998
Space Day '98 marked a first in the life of this young holiday: a live
all-day Webcast called "Cyber Space Day." Cyber
Space Day was a live eight-hour broadcast over the Web in which astronauts
and scientists answered questions from kids worldwide. The goal of Space
Day is to advance science, math and technology education and inspire future
generations to realize the vision of our space pioneers. Space Day '98
took place on Thursday, May 21, l998. In anticipation of that day, Quest
is hosting a two full days of QuestChats, May 19 and May 20 allowing classrooms
to interact with NASA experts from our various projects in real time.
There were also events in Washington, D.C. as well as activities in schools
and communities throughout the world.
