To celebrate National Engineering Week
Feb. 23 through 27:
Journey Into Cyberspace
These video programs are designed to assist you in exciting middle school
students about science, mathematics and technology. The university students
they will meet in this series demonstrate the opportunities available
to those who reinforce their natural curiosity by taking science and mathematics
classes. This video series is pre-produced and designed to be taped for
integration into the curriculum as best suits the needs of the individual
system, school or teacher. In addition to the traditional media of video
and print, a web site has also been developed for use with the series.
You will have two options for viewing the programs:
Live webcasts of the programs:
- Feb. 23:
- 2 p.m. - 3 p.m. Pacific (5 p.m. - 6 p.m. Eastern)
- A teacher's guide to the upcoming video series.
- Feb. 23 through 27:
- 10:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Pacific* (1:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Eastern)
- * Special Note: On Tuesday, Feb. 24 we will have the live
broadcast from 11:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Pacific. On Thursday, Feb.
26 another the live broadcast will be from 9:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
Pacific. If these times are not convenient for you, it will be possible
for you to view the programs from the pre-encoded files: Refer to
segment two and segment four.
- Each episode will present a different journey into the exciting
world of math and science. Following each session you can join a
web chat. Check out the Web
