AND NOW... FROM A SUBMARINE!
On October 21, 1997 we went where no one had gone before!
In partnership with the Channel Islands National Park
(CHIS) we broadcast
a live audio signal from the submarine Delta diving off of the
California Coast.
"No one has ever been there
before so we don't really know what we'll find."
Gary Davis, CHIS Chief Marine
Biologist
The submarine was looking for White Abalone located on the ocean
floor near the Channel Islands.
