Learning Technologies Channel presents...

"Surviving & Thriving on Mars"

The Mars Millennium Project, an official White House Millennium Council Youth Initiative, challenges students across the nation to design a community yet to be imagined - for the planet Mars.

David Seidel and Dr. Robert Anderson of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory and Drs. Chris McKay and Kelly Snook of NASA Ames Research Center will provide an active, insightful look into the 'trials and tribulations' of life in a potential community on Mars.

  • What is Mars like now in 1999?
  • Why are we so interested in Mars?
  • What are the current missions planned for Mars?
  • When and how will humans explore Mars? What might they do there?

More information is available about the Mars Millennium Project and JPL's education page.
