Bio - Sharon Okonek,
SRTM Team Member

Sharon Okonek is a web site developer, programmer, and system administrator at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). She earned a degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Illinois. During her twelve years at JPL, she has worked on several projects including the Galileo mission, as a member of the Flight Software group, and in Earth Sciences where she has written programs that analyze data in the study of global warming. As one of her current duties, she develops and maintains the JPL SRTM web site and participates as an integral part of the SRTM Image Release team. Her technical expertise and creativity have resulted in high praise for her web site designs.
