Bio - Mike Dickerson
Michael Dickerson is the Manager of the Tools and Processes
at the NASA Jet Propulsion Lab. He works with projects to help define the
processes and methods for Sub-system design. He is the System Architect
for the Design Build Assemble and Test (DBAT) Processes at the lab. He is
specifically responsible for the Electronic and Software processes and the
operation of the Design Hub. He has been the Project Element Manager for
the Micro Gyro project and worked on other missions like the Cassini, Seawinds,
and Pathfinder missions.
Before working at JPL he was the Chief Engineer for the Milstar Satellite
Avionics and several Military space programs. His technical background
is in Automatic Controls and Vibrations. His Degrees are from Brigham
Young University. He was a design Engineer for the Univac and a Nuclear
Power Officer in the Navy. He has a broad background in all phases of
Aerospace work from concept through operations. His hobbies are Boy Scouting,
Scuba Diving, Skiing, and System Engineering. He has stopped wearing his
pocket protector.
