Bio - Jennifer Cruz

Jennifer Cruz is the System Engineer for the Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) Ground Data Processing System (GDPS). She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this position, having obtained her B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, and also having supported the GDPS for the two highly successful 1994 Spaceborne Imaging Radar-C/X-Band Synthetic Aperture Radar Missions.

SRTM's GDPS has as its primary responsibility the delivery of the SRTM digital terrain elevation data that will be mosaicked into the near-global topographic map. As the System Engineer, Jenny is responsible for the system design, development, implementation, test, and operations of the GDPS.

She also defines the system end-to-end data flows for the mission and map production, and provides technical guidance to the GDPS subsystems and manages their requirements and interfaces.
