Dear Journal,

We are now in Alaskan waters. I can't see any ice bergs yet, the weather is pretty warm. I think it is because it is summer time and the sun is out twenty hours every day.

I sleep in till ten O'clock this morning. Damien, Seth, and I interviewed the Ships office and took pictures of them for the web. I also replied to the student from Lincon High those that have been sending questions by email. I am very suprized with how many students are interested in this project.

At twelve O'clock we gathered for Must and they informed everyone that because of the boiler exploited they have to wash our clothes in seawater. We are just using water to fast. I guess that's okay as long as we don't have to shower in seawater.

Around two O'clock or so we watch helicopters fly in and land on quarter deck. They flue in to pick up and drop off mail. Damien and Seth took pictures while I filmed it. I can't wait to see what it looks like. A different set of helicopter landed shortly after. I was informed that they were the one we are hitching a ride on to Alaska. That is going to be a fun experience.

I am really enjoying my say on the Polar Star. I think when I leave I am going to miss it. This is my first time being on a boat and I really like it. I think I will take up sailing as a hobby.
