We are still in Canadian waters and the water is pretty calm. It isn't rocking as bad as yesterday. It's not that cold yet. Today around nine thirty we went up to the Bridge (were they steer the ship) to interview the captain on the real audio software live on the Internet. My job was to make sure the link to the imarsat did not disconnect. In order to go on to the Internet and transmit real audio we have to like up though imarsat. The interview went really good and nothing really bad crashed.

At twelve thirty we had muster and the captain informed us that we might not be able to complete the mission to Alaska. I was very upset when I heard that.

For the rest of the day I took interviews of the Polar Star crew and sent them out so they can be put on the web. I met some really nice and interesting people. I can't wait to see how this looks on the Net. A lot of students from Lincoln High school in San Jose, California are writing me. I think it is very good that schools are interested in this project, Because we are doing this for the education of students.
