Dear Journal,

I woke up late this morning. We linked up again to do an early mail drop so we can prepare for a live interview with Don Perovich, one of the lead Sheba scientist. My job was to make sure we didn't lose the link with the ships INMARSAT.

We are stopped now just about five miles from the Sheba Ice Station that is stuck in a floating Ice burg. It is so cold out here. All that you can see around us in huge, flat, thick ice burg.

I spent the rest of my day taking interviews of the Polar Star crew. I feel grateful that I am able to be out here doing all of this research for the education of students.
