Dear, Journal

We are in the East Siberian Sea on our way to the Sheba Ice Station. It is very cold to where when you go out side you have to wear three layers of clothing. The tempter is about thirty degrees and the water is at the most about 30 degrees. There are huge patches of ice and salt rock every were you look. Until now I never had seen anything like it.

This morning we did a link up with the portable on the flying bridge. It is getting harder every day and to link up. We are so far North it is a challenge to find the satellite.

I spent most of my day taking the CGM profiles. Not that many people would like the opportunity to be on the Internet. I could understand why they wouldn't. I watch a movie with one of the Navy divers and a few of the CGM. We watched "Good Will Hunting" and "Gross Point Blank" I had a really great time. I finished watching the movies around one O'clock in the morning. Instead of going to bed I stayed up talking with Seth. I went to my room at about four in the morning. I think I drank so much coffee I could go to sleep. Also all night I could here the ship cutting trough the ice. Just imagine the sound a tractor rolling down a metal hill off and on with a five-minute delay in between. It is not a fun experience.
