Today I woke at 6 am. I had to help set up the portable INMAR SAT. The Polar Star's Satellite is still not up and working. We had to connect with our portable Satellite at 6am in the morning to get the coordinates of the new SHEBA location but it wasn't updated yet. So we tried connecting two hours later and it still wasn't up and working. Later at around 12, after we ate lunch we tried connecting and the website was updated. We got the new coordinates and gave the information to the captain. It looks like this may be a daily routine from now on to get the coordinates for the Polar Star since our INMAR SAT is working and theirs are not. There is no ice today but it is believed that we will run into a lot more ice tomorrow. We are located 158 degrees west, just above Alaska. There is not that much to do around here lately. After we do all of our work we usually stay up late and play a game of RISK. Not this night though. Jamie, some Coasties and I played a game of Hearts. After that I went to sleep about 2:30 in the morning.
