We tried hooking up a connection at 9:00 am this morning. In the process I missed breakfast and lunch again. I don't eat fish and it smelled fishy for lunch. Last night the ship was rocking back and forth so much that all of the equipment almost fell off of the counters. Also everyone that was up practically got seasick. Luckily I went to sleep and never got that sick. I talked to a lot of people today and there were a couple that threw up last night. It was like in a movie. At one point at night I stepped out side and it made me nauseous. I feel into the walls a couple times while going through the hallways. So in the morning when we were doing the link up everything was sliding back and forth. The ship was rocking so much that the Polar Stars satellite couldn't stay up. After that we tried doing an audio interview with Mark Baskaran (In charge of water sample tests and research that have been going on lately) except we were not allowed in the radio room (room where we connect the satellite). We were not able to go in there at the time because they were doing some confidential work in there. So then we went to the wet lab two hours later to finish the interview but we still couldn't use the satellite yet. So we just canceled the event. I tried to rest as much as possible to avoid the seasickness. This boat rocks around like a roller coaster ride.
