Today we did the same procedure as usual. We connected all of our equipment, and we were going to try to accomplish the Interview that we started a couple days ago with Don Perovich. We had some previous problems before because the boat was crushing through the ice and we were so far up north that we couldn't get a stable connection with the INMAR SAT. This was the third try with interviewing Don. The first time we had a good connection for the first twenty minutes. After that it dropped off. And the second attempt to do the interview the conditions were so bad that we just canceled the whole thing.

This time we set up and everything went well. It was fairly cold and wet outside, but we still stayed there and the video was great. Unfortunately the audio didn't come out that well because of some kind of interruption with another kind of communication equipment on top of the bridge.

After the link up we had the day to catch up with past work. It is nice when we have these days because I can take my time and listen to music to handle things. Usually on these days I stay up late because I take my time and I finish everything later at night. So far everything has gone pretty well onboard the Polar Star.
