Today I woke up around 9 A.M. in the morning. We had to set up the portable satellite again and we sent out mail early. I missed breakfast but I was able to make lunch. After that we were going to do a live broadcast with Don Perovich. He is one of the lead guys for the SHEBA project. We ended up docking less than a mile away from SHEBA. You could see their ship, which is stuck into the ice. The helicopters moved back and forth transporting the luggage for all of the scientists. Our location now is 78 North, and all around us all you could see was thick ice. This will be the furthest north location on the trip. After everything I ate dinner and worked out. For being on a Coast Guard ship they have a great gym with all kinds of weights, and equipment. It was a nice experience to be out side and to just breathe in the air. It was really fresh. Probably some of the freshest air I've ever inhaled. That's one of the things that I like about being on this trip.
