Today at 10 o'clock we tried connecting again with the portable INMAR SAT. It took us a couple of hours to get the satellite working. It looks like we might have some problems getting the portable to work this far up north.

It has been really cold outside lately. It has been about 30 degrees outside today. We are really far up north and tomorrow we are supposed to reach near SHEBA. We are going to drop off all of the scientists onboard the ship and we are going to pick up another 20 or so which will be switching places with the ones that are going to drop off. Yesterday there wasn't any ice in sight but today there is a lot and again we are reaching that type of atmosphere. The water is really still and I haven't seen anything lately outside but crystal blue ice and dark navy colored water. It is really refreshing to be able to take a deep breath outside.
