SHIP'S POSITION: Southbound along the west coast of Tierra del Fuego

REMARKS: The Polar Duke continues south towards Isla de Los Estados. Strong winds prevail in the lee of the coast. Airport wind velocity in Punta Arenas yesterday was reported as gusting to 90 knots throughout the afternoon.

An XBT transect across the Drake for S-260 will begin early tomorrow morning.
