Trip to Catalina Island

A group shot of co-workers and friends on a trip to Catalina this past weekend. We loaded up three airplanes with the fourteen of us and camped overnight on the island.

Catalina landscape: a beautiful place 37 nautical miles from Santa Monica.

Equipment tests and training

One of the crewmembers of STS 90 during baseline data collection prior to the launch verifying that the digital sleep recorder is properly working.

One of the multiple training sessions to allow the astronauts an opportunity to become fully proficient with the equipment used in our experiement.

Laptops are used with the sleep gear to verify positive data collection and signal reception.

Eymard and I check out the equipment prior to one of the training sessions.
