Planetary Flight will cover atmospheric and non-atmospheric
flight as it pertains to designing an aircraft. The classroom materials
included in the "Teachers Desk" section provide a problem based
learning approach and demonstrates how these materials can be integrated
into a 5-12 curriculum. Steve Smith,
our guest, is an Aerospace Researcher here at NASA Ames Research
Center, Moffett Field, CA. His specialty is induced drag. Additionally,
he is the coauthor of the upcoming Planetary Flight Project.
